We’ve all experienced too much trauma this year, The need for social reform in the areas that marginalizes and criminalizes BIPOC in this country, a country led by a beyond terrifying leader AND a damn pandemic! In the midst of the hell around us, there have been blessings.
The first of these blessings is YOU. If you are reading this, celebrate yourself for just surviving. Forget if you didn’t complete the goals you set out for your business, self, work etc in this year. You made it and in these times, that is ENOUGH.
FRUIT IN BARREN LAND
Now that we’ve taken care of that, what do we say to those that were able to flourish in what we can all some up to be unprecedented times. The guilt of success in these times has stifled some from publicly announcing or celebrating their wins and to that we say NOOOOOOO. Don’t hide your sun under the shadow of a looming cloud! The fact is that although this year has been difficult, we can’t discount the ebb and flow of our individual journeys. 2019 could have been your year to plant your vision, watering it to sprout. We’ve forgotten about the journey and have magnified this year in time instead. This has caused us to stopping seeing growth, promise and potential.
Therefore we say, celebrating our wins is a necessary that gives us the momentum to reach for the next marker in our journey . Find no shame in your victories, for they may be the catalyst for someone else to start or motivate the stagnant to get moving.
